Fraternal Order of Police Gene Leonard Lodge #70 Scholarship

Scholarship Rules and Regulations:

The Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #70 will award up to three (3) one year scholarship awards each year in the amounts of $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place to winning/selected applicants related to a members or deceased members in good standing of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #70.

The recipient must be the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a Fraternal Order of Police member in good standing, at the time of application, of Manatee Lodge #70, Fraternal Order of Police.

The application period will be from April 1st to June 1st each year. The Scholarship committee will not accept any applications postmarked after June 1st.

Any deviation from the applicant’s original application is subject to review by the scholarship committee. The Scholarship Committee decision will be final.

These rules are subject to revision each year, as provided by the Manatee Lodge #70 FOP scholarship policies.

Required documents:

• Completed Gene Leonard Lodge #70 Scholarship application
• 500-2000 word essay on the current years topic, created and submitted using Microsoft Word
• Proof of acceptance to the institution the applicant plans to attend
